Today is my first day in the new team, the feeling is just like joining a new company.
After 4 years and 6 months, now I know how it feels.
I spent most of the time reading documents, user manuals... When I got in to the office in the morning, there was a paperbag, full of GfK insite, employees handbook, and also a few pieces of paper regarding the GfK Aus organization diagram so that I would know everyone in the office though. So, I did escape from the office tour.. phew...
Poor me, I thought there will be a team-gather lunch, ended up I packed a spagatti bolognese and had my lunch alone. The culture is so difference!!! Nevermind... I need to learn to be "aloooone"..
One thing that made me proud...
As my neighbour passed me a SAS guidebook today said if I need to have a reference. Then I told them that I do have a SAS experience back in Malaysia. Then out of sudden about 10 mins later, a team member ~ a girl, asked for my help about SAS coding.
Wahaha... A SAS language that I have thrown away 3 years ago...
Eventually... I successfully did it for what she was looking for.
I felt gooood... at least gained back my confident on my first day... and I felt useful...
I miss you guys a lot here!!
p.s: I had taken few pictures of the city and station which requested by Joan. Will show you guys in my next post.
